December favourites, the body shop, max factor golden rose, accessorize

It's that time of the month again when I round up my favourites from the last few weeks!

Essence the gel polish in wild white ways //  I had been looking for a white polish for the longest time and I was very happy when I finally found this. If you read my Christmas nail art post you have already seen this as I used it as a base. It is very opaque even after one coat and only starts to chip after 4 days. The only thing that I don't like is that the formula is quite runny but despite that it doesn't take too long to dry.

Golden Rose lipstick in 124 //  This was more of an impulse buy and I kind of regretted buying it at first since it is so dark and I was not used to that. But I am glad that I did as I now love it and has been my festive lip go to! It is a beautiful dark plum shade with red undertones. Another thing that I love about it is the longevity as it stays put for about 4 or 5 hours and then evenly fades.

The Body Shop Strawberry Body Butter // Recently I have been having some really dry skin and this body butter has been a savior. This product is my all time favourite from The Body Shop and I have been using it for the last few years. I love the strawberry scent and the products leaves my skin hydrated and moisturized.

Accessorize Gold bar Ear cuff // I was having a little browse at the shop when I saw this and it immediately caught me eye. I really like the design and adds a really nice touch to any look.

Max Factor colour perfection eyeshadow in 425 Dawn Gold // Throughout the month of December I have been frequently reaching for this duo palette. It consists of two shimmering shades, one gold and the other bronze which I think are very suitable for the festive season and together create a lovely look.

Leather Look Camera Case // This was actually a Christmas present and I don't know if it qualifies as a December favourite but I thought that I would add it anyway. I just love it as it has a vintage feel with the leather looking case and the old looking hardware.

I hope that you liked my last post from 2015 and I actually can't believe that tomorrow will be 2016! 2015 was definitely a great year for my blog as I basically started it last January. I hope that 2016 will be even better and it will continue to grow. Happy New Year everyone!

Styling knit dresses, Sammydress review, knitwear

Knit dresses are a perfect addition to your winter and autumn wardrobe as they keep you warm while being stylish at the same time. Today I am showing you how I would style my favourite knit dresses from Sammydress.

Sammydress is a global online fashion retail company which aims to provide customers with high quality products at competitive low factory direct prices. When Sammydress contacted me I accepted immediately to work with them as they have a lovely selection of items ranging from clothing to accessories to beauty products.

I just love the colour and the style of this off-the-shoulder dress ($12.16). I think that this would look amazing with a gorgeous statements necklace, a clutch, a pair of nude or black heels and a faux fur coat. I think that this would be really nice for a party or even for celebrating New Year's Eve.

This cowl neck asymmetric dress ($11.25) is more for a casual day out with friends. I would add some thick black tights, some nice tall boots and a coat and you are ready to go.

I think that with this dress ($9.50) you can either dress it up or down. The shoulder cuts give it a different look and takes it from simple to edgy. You can either add a nice necklace like the one pictured and some heels or even wear some tights and boots like the second dress. I also love the orange version of this dress.

What do you think of knit dresses?

Christmas decorations, Christmas room decor

Hello! I love decorating as it gets me in the Christmas spirit. This year I really like how I decorated my room and I thought that I would share some photos with you.

Christmas decorations, Christmas room decor

My favourite decorated area has to be my bed and the little cupboard. I made the pillows myself last year and I love how they turned out. I also like the little Christmas lights because I love the design and they create such a lovely atmosphere when I turn them on at night.

Over my bed I have a garland were I hang some of my Christmas cards. I love this little Santa that sits on the edge of my shelves. My mum bought it for me last year and I think that it's so cute! On drawer handles I hung these little pillow hearts which I think go really well with the pillows.

I would love to hear if you decorate your room and if you do what decorations do you use?

Thanks for stopping by :)

Hello! I have just realised that in less than two months the year 2015 will be over and I still write 2014 on my papers! The year has flown by too quickly. Today I'm reviewing this beautiful hair tool that Irresistible Me kindly sent for review.

(Using the 19mm barrel)

Irresistible Me is an online store which sells an array of hair products ranging from hair extensions to hair tools to hair care products. When I was asked to review the Sapphire 8-in-1 curler*($199) I immediately accepted as I really needed a new curler as the one I had before had just broke so it was a great timing! This curler immediately caught my eye as it has 8 interchangeable barrels. The curling wand comes in a beautiful box with a case that holds the wand and all the barrels. It also comes with a glove, a stand and an instructions booklet filled with all the information about the tool.

The Sapphire Curling wand is a new top of the line curler that features tourmaline technology. Negative ions eliminate the frizz and help to maintain the moisture. The wand has a digital temperature display that makes it very easy to change the heat. This curler also has a locking feature which will securely lock the barrel in place. I found that it has a rapid heating time and it also maintains the same temperature while in use. If you live outside of the US make sure to buy a transformer before using the curler.

I have been loving using this curler as it makes my hair look so shiny and smooth. The fact that it has 8 barrels to choose from makes it a real bargain for its price. I definitely recommend this wand to anyone who is looking for an affordable hair tool for great value.

What is your favourite hair tool?

school outfit, striped top, nike kaishi trainers

It is no easy task trying to put together a decent outfit in the morning after sleeping in for longer than acceptable! Therefore I thought that I would share with you an outfit that I wear a lot to school which is both really comfortable and easy to throw on in a rush.

H&M striped top // Next Jeans // Nike Kaishi trainers // Golddigga belt

Lately I have been obsessed with striped tops as they are really easy to wear and I think that they look really nice. Jeans are always easy to throw on and I love these pair as they are really comfortable and stretchy. I had been lusting over this pair of Nike trainers for the longest time as I love the design. Since I received them I have been wearing them nearly everyday. Since they are trainers they are really comfortable to walk around in which is definitely an amazing thing! The belt is the last touch that I add to the outfit. As you can probably tell, I took these photos a few weeks ago and it is now a little chillier so I just add a simple cardigan to the outfit.

What is your favourite outfit combination when in a hurry?

bamboo brushes, tmart review

Hello! A few weeks ago Tmart contacted me to ask if I would like to review a set of brushes and I immediately accepted. I must say that I am in love with this set and I'm sure you would like them too!

The brush set that I chose is the 11 piece bamboo brush set*. They come in a cloth bag which I find really nice as you can use it to store other things than the brushes. I love the quality as each brush head is made from nylon which is a very soft fiber. I have washed these brushes multiple times and none of them have lost any fibers. I think that the bamboo handles look beautiful and unique as I have not seen any brushes made out of wood before! My favourites from this set have to be the blush brush and the flat top brush. As I mentioned in my October favourites, the blush brush has the perfect size and shape for my cheeks with makes application really easy. Recently I have also been loving the flat top blush as a foundation applicator. It makes the foundation look really natural on my face which is definitely something that I look for!

Tmart is an online website where you can find anything from gadgets to beauty products for a really affordable price. This company promises to provide high quality products at low price, fast efficient order turnaround and the highest level of customer service, integrity and product value to satisfy every transaction.

I had a lot of fun taking these photos and I really like how they turned out. What do you think of them? Now to a more personal note. Life has been a little hectic lately and I sometimes don't have time to come up with ideas, respond to comments and read blogs. So please excuse me if I vanish for a few days!

What do you think of these brushes?

Bamboo Brush Set | Tmart Review

Wednesday, 4 November 2015

Happy Halloween everybody! Another month has gone by without me realizing and it means that it's time for me to to share my October favourites!

Rimmel Lasting Finish Foundation // I have been using this everyday since I bought it and as you can tell I really like it. It is a medium coverage foundation and I feel like it gives a really natural look and that is why it has been a staple in my school makeup routine.

Accessorize Polish in First Dance // At this time of year darker polishes definitely are better but I have been wearing this really light pink shade which I guess is more suitable for spring time! It goes on really nice and opaque without being streaky.

Tmart Bamboo Blush Brush* // This brush is literally amazing! It is from a set of 11 brushes that I was kindly sent (review coming soon) and it is made out of the softest fibers. The handle also looks lovely since it is actually made out of bamboo wood. I find that it has the perfect size and shape for my cheeks.

Have you ever used any of these products?

Thanks for stopping by and have a Happy Halloween :)

Halloween makeup, ripped mouth, dripping bood

Hello! Today I was feeling in the mood for trying some Halloween makeup so I decided to try out this makeup look. Since I liked how it turned out I thought that I might as well share it with you!

I started off with my normal foundation and instead of using compact powder to set it I used some white face powder. You can also use a lighter foundation or mix white face paint to achieve really pale skin. Next I contoured my face with dark eyeshadows to make my face look hollow. I made sure to add a lot under my cheekbones to make them look more prominent. For my eyes I used a dark brown eyeshadow on my lids and a mix of brown and red on my bottom lash line to make my eyes look blood shot. To finish off the eyes I did a flicked out eyeliner look and added a coat of mascara. As for my brows I decided to go a little overboard and as you can see I made them darker and the arch more defined.

Now for the fun part. With a small angled brush I drew the outline of the 'mouth' with black eyeshadow. If you make a mistake you can easily fix it with some concealer. Next I took a bigger brush and just filled in the outline with the same black eyeshadow. To draw the teeth I used a small rounded brush and some white face paint. I found it really helpful to use my real teeth as a guide. I followed with a second coat of white to make them look extra opaque and not streaky. By now I looked like I had a huge white line on my face as all the teeth merged into each other. To fix this problem I took the same angled brush dipped in grey and outlined each tooth.

I was going to leave it like that but I decided to go ahead and make my mouth look like it had been ripped open. To do this it is very easy. I just took some deep red lipgloss and added it to the bottom of the mouth and blended it with some black eyeshadow. Next I added some more of the red lipgloss to make it look like the blood was still dripping from my mouth. I also blended some red on the top part of the mouth.

New Look Top // Zara Skirt // New Look Boots // Happiness Boutique Necklace*

I am a lover of autumn and winter style but to my dismay the weather here doesn't want cooperate as it is still basically in summer mode right now. That is why I decided to put together this outfit which is a mix of both the summer and autumn seasons.

I have been loving this orange-red rust colour and I think that it looks perfect with the style of the top. I love the skirt as it satisfies my love for circle skirts while being different as the pattern is woven in which creates a lovely texture. If you have been reading my blog for a really long time you have probably seen these boots pop up a few times. I think that the buckles and the chunky heel look amazing with the somewhat girly outfit. I feel like the necklace completes the look and adds some needed sparkle. You can find a full review on this beautiful necklace here. The last touch is the Revlon lipstick in Rosewine. I think that it adds a lovely warmth to the makeup look and it matches the colour of the top perfectly.

What do you think of this outfit?
