free resources for bloggers, freebies, blogging tip, free resources

Today I have linked up some free and really useful resources that I have been using a lot in the last few months of blogging. I thought that you might find this helpful and they are definitely worth checking out.

Google Analytics // This shows you an in depth view of your stats. I find this really helpful as it gives more information than the blogger stats. The real-time feature is definitely my favourite thing.

Hootsuite or Buffer // Personally I use Hootsuite but they are basically the same thing. This is for scheduling your posts on social media.

Picmonkey // Here you can edit your pictures and create collages.

W3 Schools // If you are not really good with code or want to learn more about it then this is really handy for when you want to tweak your blog.

Canva // This is a place where you create designs and add cool graphics to your designs. There are also some lovely ready to use templates to make everything even more easy for you.

Bloglovin // This is a must for every blogger. Here you can follow your favourite blogs and others  can follow yours. I find this really useful for getting your blog noticed.

I can build a blog // On this blog you can find a lot of posts related to being a successful blogger and tutorials on how to change your blog layout.

Twitter // A useful social media for interacting with other bloggers and getting your blog noticed.

DaFont // For all your font needs.

top 5 lip products, lipstick, lipgloss, Sarahanne14, top 5 lipsticks

Hello! A while back I decided to start a series where I talk about my top 5's but I kind of forgot about it! So today I am back to talk about my top 5 lip products.

Before I start, I would like to say thank you for the lovely feedback I received on The 'Perfect Body' post. I really want to start writing more posts like that, rather than talking about beauty all the time.

Here I tried to swatch the products and I actually spent more than 10 minutes trying to take the photo but the camera wouldn't focus so I had to settle for this one. #bloggerproblems

Lipgloss

Catrice Infinite Shine Lipgloss in 120 Little Red Dress

I had forgotten about this lipgloss but while I was searching in my makeup box I found this gem at the bottom and remembered how much I loved it. It is in a cherry red shade with a hint of shimmer which I find really nice. I love that it's able to stay on my lips for a long time and that it is not sticky. I find that it's better to apply over a lipstick or lip liner because when applying alone it is easy to go overboard and end up with Kylie-esque lips! The only thing that I don't like about it is that it is not as opaque as the shade in the tube but it isn't that much of a problem since I am applying it over another product anyway.

Essence Long Lasting Lipgloss in 01 Baby Doll's Favourite

The first lipgloss that I ever bought was from Essence and I chose the lightest nude which-looked-kind-of-purple shade that without doubt looked awful and has never seen the light of day since. (11 year old me choices) So I had stayed clear away from their lipglosses just because of that first purchase. A few months ago I decided that I will buy another one and I was definitely not let down this time. The shade is a shimmery coral pink and I find this perfect for everyday wear since it is close to my natural lip colour but is still visible. Like it says, it is long lasting but on the other hand it is a little sticky. Another thing that I like is the applicator, which helps to apply the product easily.

Lipsticks

Kiko Smart Lipstick 903 Candy Rose

If you have been reading this blog for a while you will know that I love this lipstick as I have mentioned it a couple of times before. It is definitely a staple in my makeup routine. The shade is a nudish pink (this photo makes it look more on the pink side) which I also think is great for everyday wear. It applies smoothly and leaves my lips feeling moisturized. The only thing that I don't like about it is that it wears off easily since it is a light colour. So I definitely have to top it off every two hours or so.

Rimmel Lasting Finish Lipstick in 084 Amethyst Shimmer

As the name suggests, the shade is both purply and shimmery although not as dark as the colour in the stick. This is my go to when I don't feel like wearing a natural lip shade. (I am wearing this lipstick in my profile picture) It is really lasting and it actually stains my lips a little after removing it.

Lip Balm

Sierra Bees Organic Pomegranate Lip Balm

This is another well loved (and mentioned) product. I wear it nearly everyday and I will be really unhappy when it finishes. It is made of organic and natural ingredients which I find really nice. The smell alone is amazing and it keeps my lips very moisturised.

Also I have recently noticed that I definitely use definitely a lot. There, I did it again! I'm really sorry if that bugs you haha.

How is your weekend going? Today I am going to talk about something a little different than what I usually write about. But it's something that I wanted to get off my mind.

the versatile blogger award, versatile award, award

I was recently nominated for the versatile blogger award again by Carolyn from Carolyn's Simple Life. Thank you! I had had already been nominated before but it won't do any harm by doing it again. (You can check out the first one here).

negative space nails, red nails, nail art, nail polish. nail design

I saw this cute nail design idea on a blog a few days ago and today I decided to try it out. (I have totally forgotten who's blog it was so I'm really sorry!) Before I start I want to say that after much deliberation I have decided to create a Facebook page for my blog. Feel free to check it out :)

I have recently been obsessed with anything pastel and spring has definitely made me like these colours more. Today I put together a list (which took me far too long to make) of things that I would love to buy. I'm in love with 1 and 5!

Do you like the pastel trend?

I am so ashamed to say this, but the frames in my room still had Christmasy pictures in them up until a few days ago when I realised that I need an update. That's why I decided to make some new DIYs and since it's Easter and Spring time I chose to do something related to that.

Easter & Spring Watercolour Bunny DIY

Saturday, 4 April 2015

It is already April today! Which means that we are four months in 2015 and it's pretty ridiculous since it feels like the New Year was yesterday. Today I'm showing you my favourite items that I have been using during the month of March.

Kiko Nail Lacquer in Orange

First up is this beautiful orange nail lacquer. I think that it is a really nice colour for spring. I love that it's opaque and doesn't chip that much. Definitely a bargain.

The Body Shop Seaweed Facial Wash and Toner

From time to time I like to change my skin care products as I feel that my skin gets used to the product after some time. I have been really liking these two together. The scent is something that I imagined would be awful but in fact is quite nice. (I'm not very fond of seafood!) If you also have oily/acne prone skin like me, check out my full skin care routine.

Flower Earrings

Flowers just scream spring and that's why this earring set has been my go to lately. My favourites are the top two as I prefer the dainty kind. I don't know where they are from as they where given as a present.

The Body Shop Glazed Apple Spray

This is not technically a spring scent but I have been using it anyway. As I mentioned in the gift set review, I love this spray. The scent is really fruity and sweet without being overpowering, which I like.

The Body Shop Tea Tree Oil

This is a skin care product I had forgotten about and have started using again. I apply this on my blemishes in the evening after washing my face using a cotton swab. This helps to minimize the blemish. Tea tree oil helps to disinfect pores and dry out whiteheads, blackheads, pimples and other blemishes.

If you noticed many of these products are from The Body Shop, but this is only because I love their products and I buy nearly everything from there.

On a different note, I just started using Tumblr again. I still don't know exactly how to use it but feel free to check out my account.

Thanks for stopping by :)
