I picked up the jelly flower lipstick* in the shade number 2 cherry which is a lovely pinkish red. There are also two other shades available, one is light pink and the other is orange. The lipstick is packaged in a clear pink tube with gold details which I find to be very pretty. The first thing that you notice about the lipstick is that there is an actual flower in the see trough product that I would describe as being jelly like! Apparently it's a black chrysanthemum flower as this is what the packaging states. The scent of the lipstick is very sweet and floral and it kind of reminds me of a shaved ice flavour that I used to have.

The site lists the lipstick as being moisturising, non stick and colour changing according to body temperature which I found to be really interesting. Upon applying it goes on glossy but mattifies a little bit after a few minutes. It glides on smoothly on the lips and doesn't feel drying at all. The best way that I can describe the texture is silky.

Now onto the colour changing part which I was a bit sceptical about and to be completely honest I still am. I don't see a lot of change in the shade apart from it going a bit redder after a few minutes. But with that said, it is still buildable and the longevity is amazing. It works great as a stain since the tint stayed on my lips for a whole day.

If you would like to pick this up or any other item from the site, this is the time to do it since Banggood have huge Black Friday sales going on. This lipstick is currently only £3.25 and free shipping!

Today's post is a bit different to the usual ones. I haven't sat down and just written what I had on my mind in a really long time so that is what I'm doing today.

A few days ago over on my Twitter, I announced that I will be taking part in the 12 days of Blogmas challenge. For the non-bloggers out there, this means that I will be publishing 12 Christmas related posts during the days leading up to the 25th. The reason why I decided to not do the full challenge where I blog everyday is because I wouldn't be able to handle the busy posting schedule. Instead I will be posting around 3 times a week. I already have quite a few Blogmas posts in the drafts and I'm looking forward to sharing them with you.

As some of you may know, I am currently in the second year of sixth form and my A levels are only a few months away. (So scary to write that!) Currently I have a lot of work and studying to do and this week and the upcoming week are full of tests, hence the lack of posts. So if I miss a post or two please don't blame it on me!

Another exciting thing that I want to talk about is the giveaway that I'm currently hosting. A big thank you goes out to the people that filled out the blog survey. I really appreciate all the tips and advice that you have given me. I have already tweaked the blog layout a bit to make it look better. The menu bar now has an archive and a more colourful look while the font is now easier to read.

The last thing that I want to say is that many of you have voted for me to do more personal or chatty posts. So from now on I will try to include an update/life lately bit in each fashion posts. After all I feel weird just publishing a post full of pictures of me in various different poses!

Will you be doing Blogmas or Christmas related posts this year?

how to wear a crop top in Autumn,
how to wear a crop top in Autumn,
Zaful sweater* // New Look jeans // Shana denim jacket (similar) // Nike trainers // Zaful bag*

The weather in Malta has finally transitioned into Autumn which means that I can finally wear cozy clothes! Although the temperature is now cooler, I am not ready to put my cropped tops in the cupboards yet.

This Zaful sweater* is the perfect example of how you can still incorporate crop tops in your Autumn outfits. The little 'okay' adds some detail to the top while delivering the daily dose of sass. Cropped sweaters and high-waisted trousers go hand in hand. Today I'm wearing my favourite black pair from New Look which are so comfortable and I wear them nearly everyday (sorry not sorry). A denim jacket is a season transition essential as it adds that little bit of extra warmth. To finish of the look I wore my favourite Nike trainers which have been a staple in my school outfits lately. The Zaful bag* is the perfect addition to the outfit as it ties in with the red and white details.

Do you still wear your favourite cropped tops in the colder months?

Since the crazy Christmas season is upon us (only 45 days left till Christmas!), I thought that I would put together the first gift guide for this year. This one includes a lot of interior and stationary pieces that will surely make the person receiving them happy. The general theme in this gift guide is gold, copper, metallic and white. I decided to pick these as they are colours that usually match with everything and will surely not clash with other decorations. The best thing is that all items are under £15!

How to Relax and De-stress your Mind, mishka mail review
How to Relax and De-stress your Mind, mishka mail review

"Slow down, Take it easy"

This is the theme of October's Mishka Mail. The kit's aim is to explore all the ways in which we can relax, slow down and take a moment for ourselves. We can often get caught up in our busy schedules and leave little to no time to take time out for our well being. Here are 5 tips to help you unwind.

How to Relax and De-stress your Mind, mishka mail review

Pamper yourself

I love having a pamper night from time to time especially after a long and stressful day at school. Run a warm bath, put on some spa music, apply a face mask, light a scented candle, sit back and relax.

Grab a cuppa

Drinking a cup of green tea or chamomile tea is proven to help reduce your stress levels and provide calmness. If you find yourself unable to sleep due to stress pour yourself a cup of chamomile tea and let it do it's thing.

This doesn't have to be a strenuous sport and a short walk in the fresh air or practicing some yoga will do. I recently found a love for yoga and I try to fit in at least 20 minutes everyday to follow along a YouTube tutorial. (This one is perfect for beginners)

Turn off technology

All the constant social media updates can get a bit too much sometimes. So every now and then tune out of the internet and read a book or magazine.

Organise and de-clutter

I am really bad at keeping my room in order and always end up with an over flowing chair-drobe! But that aside, having an organised living space helps to have an organised mind.

Mishka Mail is a stationary subscription box that delivers cute themed parcels every month. The designs are created by Melbourne based illustrator Naira Tamanian of "Graceful Avenue". The October Parcel* included 3 greeting cards, 2 stickers, 2 mini collection cards, 1 gift tag and 1 wall paper print all related to relaxing and slowing down. If you are interested in ordering November's kit (€20.66 shipping included) head over to Mishka Mail before the sign-up closes.

Makeup Brushes for Beauty Lovers on a Budget, rose gold brushes, oval brushes

How gorgeous are these brushes? In today's post I am reviewing two brush sets that are both inexpensive and have great quality. I immediately fell in love with these brushes while browsing the Rosegal site and I'm sure that you can't blame me for it!

First up is this plated brush set in rose gold* ($8.57). The set contains 7 pieces that includes a powder brush, blush brush, foundation brush, contour brush, eyeshadow brush, dome eyeshadow brush and angled brush.

Upon seeing them for the first time you can clearly tell that they are Real Technique brush dupes but for half the price! The quality of the brushes is so nice and I am in love with the rose gold handles. If rose gold is not your cup of tea, there are also silver, gold and mixed sets available.

The big fluffy ones are really softest and perfect for applying powder based makeup like blush, powder, bronzer and highlighter. The flat brush has the perfect shape for contouring since the bristles are packed together. I have found myself reaching for the angled brush a lot lately since it is perfect for filling in the brows. The foundation brush is something that I had not seen before but the triangled tip makes it perfect for applying foundation under the eyes and around the nose. I found that the eyeshadow brushes are a bit too big for applying shadows precisely but that makes them perfect for blending.

The second set that I picked up is the black oval brush set* ($6.03) which comes with 2 brushes. I have been seeing these oddly shaped brushes all over Youtube and Instagram lately so I was really interested in trying them out myself.

The two brushes have bristles that are tightly packed together but the foundation brush is softer while the small brush has stiffer bristles. I found the bigger brush to be perfect for applying foundation evenly on the skin. Although the smaller brush is listed as being a blush brush I have been using it for contouring my face.

Overall I am really happy with my picks and I would definitely recommend heading over to Rosegal if you are in search for some beautiful yet cheap brushes.
