Rosegal Makeup Review

A few weeks ago I was fortunate enough to be sent some Rosegal makeup items to try out and review. Rosegal has a wide selection of clothes, accessories and beauty products amongst others. I had previously raved about Rosegal's beautiful brush sets and this time around I decided to try out some of the makeup products available.

Face

CC Cream* // First of all, I must say that I'm obsessed with the packaging design since it has lots of cute dinosaurs and the Empire State building sketched on the front. The CC cream is a very good match to my skin and has enough coverage that it hides the red areas on my face.

Cushion Foundation* // I have seen a lot of cushion foundations floating about the makeup world in the last few months but I was yet to try them out. While on the site I decided to pick one up to see what the hype was. The one I picked up is in the shade 13 which I have found to be a bit too light for me. I would suggest going for the darker shade available. The compact includes a sponge applicator, a mirror and an extra cushion foundation.

Loose Powder* // This loose powder also comes with a sponge that makes application easier. The powder mattifies the skin without making it look cakey.

Conceal & Contour Kit* // This palette includes 15 cream based shades range from really light to dark and even includes a shimmery highlighter. The main reason why I chose this was because I wanted to try out colour correcting but I was kind of let down. The shades change colour once applied and don't blend that well at all. Out of all the items I picked up, this was the only one that I was disappointed in.

Highlighter Stick*// This cream highlighter has such a lovely pearly golden finish to it which makes it look very natural once applied to the cheek bones and under the eyebrows.

Powder Blush* // The shade water red does look very intimidating in the compact but once applied it leaves a very natural looking glow.

Eyes

Eyeliner // Eyeshadow Pencil // Eyeshadow Palette

Collagen Eye Roll-On* // This product claims to improve the elasticity and remove wrinkles of the under eye area. It can be applied by rolling the ball over the skin. I find that this is perfect for the evenings as it cools down and relaxes my eyes.

Eyeshadow Pencil* // This gold brown stick looks gorgeous on the eyelids alone and can also be used as a base for other powder eyeshadows. It also doesn't crease easily and can be rolled up for more product.

Eyeshadow Palette*// I am so in love with this palette. It includes 10 eyeshadows, 3 of which are matte while the others are glittery. All the shades feel creamy, blend very easily and they are also opaque. The small size and the lovely range of shades make this palette perfect for travelling and the mirror is an added bonus.

Eyeliner Pen*// The design on this pen matches with the CC cream mentioned earlier and again I think that it looks very cute. The felt tip is very sharp but on the thicker side.

Max Volume Mascara* // A mascara in the shape of a cat? Yes please. Besides looking so cute this mascara also does a wonderful job at curling my lashes and adds volume just like it states. Altough the want is quite big so it won't be liked by everyone.

False Eyelashes* // I have never been a fan of fake lashes but to be honest I had only ever tried those big ones that makes your eyes look like a snapchat filter. These ones are so natural looking and the band is transparent which makes it easier for them to blend in.

Brows, Lips & Applicators

Eyebrow Pencil // Lipstick

Matte Lipstick* // This is actually the second addition to my matte lipstick collection. I know shocker! The shade B16 is a lovely brown shade with red undertones and applies really nicely without budging.

Eyebrow Pencil* // The gold packaging of this brow pencil looks lovely and the triangle shaped tip makes it easier to apply. Unfortunately I found that the shade is a bit too dark for me but I can still work with it.

Flat Top Brush* (similar) // This brush has a flat top and its bristles are very soft. It is great for buffing in foundation and blending in the highlighter stick for a more natural finish.

Makeup Sponge* // I have recently been loving makeup sponges for applying foundations. This one is very soft and applies the foundation really nicely.

Once again I would like to say that I am very thankful and grateful for Rosegal for giving me the chance to try out all of these products.
