What I loved in March

And without anybody realizing, another month has nearly flown by. 2017 is seriously going by way too fast! March has been an eventful month, both school-wise and life-wise. Despite everything I feel much better now and I am excited about blogging again. Now enough with the rambling and let's get to the actual point of today's post where I have rounded up some of my faves from March.

The Beach Café

The Beach Cafe by Lucy Diamond revolves around Evie who is a thirty something year old living in Oxford who describes herself as the black sheep of the family and often slips up. While her two older sisters are both successful, gorgeous and are married with kids, she still has not settled down and goes from one temp job to another. Although she is in a long term relationship she is not happy and her boyfriend's young son is the only thing that brings her joy in her life. Out of the blue, her beloved aunt Jo is killed in a car accident and Evie later finds out that she has inherited her aunt's Cornwall beach cafe. Evie is determined to make her aunt proud by taking ownership of the cafe but there are many obstacles in her way.

This is only a short introduction to the book which I really enjoyed reading. I even managed to read it in two days! Evie is a really likeable character and it was really easy to get into the book. What's not to love about a book that has cakes, a beautiful seaside village and romance?

Accessorize Hoop Earrings

For the longest time I honestly hated hooped earrings and I thought that they looked horrible. Well until recently when they began to pop up everywhere and they started to grow on me. While browsing in Accessorize after school I spotted this pair of gold hoop earrings and I immediately fell in love with them. They are simple and have a clasp type closure which make them much easier to put on. I have worn them nearly everyday since I bought them and I will definitely not be biased to buy stud earrings only from now on.

The Body Shop Japanese Cherry Blossom Perfume

If you read my previous post than you may know that I have been using this perfume recently. The Japanese Cherry Blossom perfume is delicate, sweet and floral with the top notes being Fuji Apple & Magnolia. It is a light scent so perfect for everyday use but it also lasts for a really long time. The bottle is also gorgeous and I love using it as a photos prop (you have probably seen it in quite a lot of my photos!) If you are looking for a scent that is perfect for spring time then definitely pick up this perfume.

Beauty and The Beast

I'm pretty sure that this film is in everybody's favourites this month! It was so lovely to watch and Emma Watson did justice to the character of Belle. I had only seen the original film a few times when I was younger so I didn't really remember how the story went. This made watching the film even better. My favourite part of the film has to be the 'Be my Guest' scene. It was so mesmerizing to watch all the plates and food fly by! Definitely recommend watching this film if you have not seen it yet.

Olympus Pen Epl-7

I had been dreaming about upgrading my blogging camera for the longest time and in February I finally made the decision to purchase the white Olympus Pen Epl-7 with the kit lens. Besides being absolutely gorgeous to look at, it also takes gorgeous photos. It has a touch screen that flips around and up so taking a flatlay and a selfie are an easier task. The photos that it takes have such an amazing quality and look very sharp. It also has a lot of modes on the dial but I'm still on Auto mode as I have not yet gotten used to it. If you would like to see an example of the photos that it takes then check out my previous post. The focus is brilliant!

After questioning about where to take my blog for a while, I have now decided that I do wish to continue blogging and I was probably overreacting a *little* bit in a post that I published recently. Due to my upcoming A level exams I don't have the time that I really want to dedicate to my blog so posting will be less frequent to around 1 post a week. I think that this is the best way to go around things. Although I will not be as active here, I have been getting more into Instagram where I have been posting quite a lot so feel free to give me a follow 😊

  6. I've been eyeing The Beach Cafe for a while, but I had no idea if it would be good or not. I hadn't read the synopsis, only saw the cover but now that I know a bit more about it, I may have to give it a bit more of a looksee. I wonder if my library has it.

And finally! Someone else who understands my absolute lovely for the Japanese Cherry Blossom Perfume. The Body Shop and Bath & Body Works have two best Cherry Blossom Perfumes and I'm absolutely in love with them as well; especially The Body Shop one.

I'm so glaaad people seem to be really liking the Pen EPL-7 because, again, I've been eyeing it for a while and have been debating picking one up to replace my current camera. Judging by the raves, I may have to give into the urge and buy it when my birthday comes around.

    Lovely, post!

    1. Thank you! This is the first book of hers that I have read but I already have more waiting on my bookshelf. The Pen camera is really good for bloggers as it was made for us in mind! The price is also reasonable :)

  10. These earrings are really cute, I've never been a fan of hoop earrings but I'm also really considering getting some now. Small gold hoops would be perfect. Accessorize always have the best jewellery, although sometimes their prices are a bit too high (both for costume jewellery and for their bags actually).
I'm glad you've decided to keep blogging, I really enjoy your content :)

    1. I also find that the some items in Accessorize are a bit too expensive for me! Usually I will only buy from there as a treat or to buy a present for others. But I agree that their jewelry is gorgeous :)
