Hello! How are you doing today? Recently I've been purchasing more makeup than usual, probably because I've been spending a lot of time on Instagram and following more beauty accounts. they do really leave an influence on you! Today I'm going to show you all the products I've bought and giving my honest review on them.

Wet & Wild Lash Regenerate Mascara

While browsing at a local shop last week, I saw that Wet & Wild had an offer for a free eyeliner with this mascara so I decided to  pick them up. I had been meaning to try some things from this brand as they had only recently been made available where I live.

The first thing that drew me to this mascara was the bottle. I love how it does not look like the average mascara bottle but instead it has the pointed sides. Now on the the actual mascara. I was quite surprised when I saw the wand as I'm pretty sure I've never seen anything like it. The round part promises to add "volume with precision and control" while the bottom part promises to create "definition with increased length and curl". I found that the round part helps to reach the small inner lashes which is something that I like. This mascara also doesn't clump and adds a lot of length an volume. I would definitely recommend picking this up.

Wet & Wild Black Kohl Eyeliner

Kohl liners are something that I haven't used for a long time. When I first started wearing makeup I only bought kohl but eventually I found out about liquid and felt liners and I stopped using them. I was interested to see what I think about kohl liners after all this time and the fact that it came free didn't hurt.

It is a pigmented black eyeliner and it's also very creamy to apply. This is something that I look for in eyeliners as I don't want to drag the skin around my eyes. It also has a great staying power so it's not one that you can remove with just one swipe of makeup remover. Although it's a very nice eyeliner, I still prefer my liquid ones as I feel like they create a better wing. But if you are a fan of pencil liners, then this one is for you.

New Look Mattifying Makeup Primer

While browsing in New Look I saw that they were having a sale on their beauty items so I decided to pick up this primer. Summer is coming closer and the heat it brings doesn't do well with my makeup on my already oily skin. I had only ever tried a sample of a primer so I wanted to see if it helps to keep my makeup in place.

Unfortunately, I did not have a positive experience with this product. It's very liquidy and takes forever to dry. Once it dries it still feels very oily and looks shiny on my skin. It promises to be mattifying. What I don't understand is that when I apply it on my hand it absorbs immediately and goes completely matte. This has led me to believe that it works better on dryer skin as opposed to those with oily skin like me.

The Body Shop All-In-One 5-Action Perfector InstaBlur

After having a not so nice experience with the New Look primer I decided to pick up The Body Shop primer. Many people had been recommending this so I knew I would have a better chance at liking it. The primer promises to be shine-controlling, blemish-hiding, pore-concealing, complexion-perfector that delivers picture-perfect skin.

At first it looks crumbly but once blended it goes velvety smooth. This primer dries instantly and doesn't feel oily or slimey. It also makes my skin feel so smooth and soft. The difference I noticed the most was that it kept my face matte and my t zone only started to get slightly shiny at the end of the day. It also helps to minimize my pores and helps the foundation to stay on.

The Body Shop Matte Clay Skin Clarifying Foundation

As I said on my Instagram, I had been mostly using the Rimmel Lasting Finish foundation for the last few year so I wanted to try something new. I was looking for a foundation that wasn't too heavy and was mattifying, and I think that I have found exactly what I was looking for. This foundation claims to have a matte high coverage, long wear, shine control, breathable wear and doesn't clog pores while promoting clearer looking skin. It contains mattifying clay and purifying tea tree.

At the moment my skin is going through a rough time and it's breaking out in every corner, so I like the sound of the properties it premises. I haven't seen any improvements yet but I'm loving the foundation. It feels very comfortable and light on my skin. It also stays matte all day long, with or without the primer. It's definitely the longest lasting foundation that I've tried so far. The first application is not as full coverage but it is easy to build up to a fuller coverage. Although it doesn't hide all of my acne it still hides most of the redness and discoloration. If you are looking for a new foundation definitely give this one a go.
