School Beauty Bag Essentials

Even though it feels like the summer holidays only started yesterday I need to face the truth that school will start soon. You may have already started your school year but fortunately I still have a week and a half to go! I will be starting my second year of sixth form which basically means A levels, studying, exams and stress! Hopefully I will still find time to keep up with both the blog schedule and the school work!

Today I'm going through my beauty bag essentials for school which I always need to have with me.

When it comes to makeup products I always have a few of these items with me. Last year I shared my school makeup routine which included the whole shabang...well that routine only lasted for a grand total of a few weeks. After a month I realized that having to wake up a few minutes earlier was a waste of time so I settled for only a few makeup bits.

If I were to actually wear makeup on that day I would apply a bit of concealer to try to hide the lack of sleep and some mascara and eyeliner to make my eyes stand out more. Occasionally I would apply a bit of lip balm and I was done. In the last few months I have been paying more attention to my brows so I will be adding a brow pencil to my makeup routine.

Apart from makeup I also take a few other random bits. A small mirror always comes in handy to check how much my makeup has slid off my face and how many pimples have decided to show up. Blotting tissues are great for mattifying your face on the go after a particularly long and sweaty day. Hair bands and hair clips can always be found in my bag because I'm one of those people who will go crazy if I'm not able to pull back my hair.  An antibacterial hand gel is a must for school especially for those times when you accidentally touch the underneath of the desk! Tissues are a no brainer and plasters are great for emergencies. The last thing that I take with me is a perfume sample. Sometimes you have to spray a spritz of this after a sweaty PE lesson!

  5. Enjoy your time left before school starts again! I should always carry a pocket mirror with me, I never thought about getting one for my handbag but it can be so useful. And having concealer at hand is always useful too, you never know when you'll need a touch up! :p

  15. More often than not, I don't wear makeup... I leave that for weekends because I just can't be bothered with applying makeup in the morning :D I love how you take all the essentials with you though :) I have Hand Maid, too, and I love it. I really want to try the Essence mascara, since I've heard many good things about it :) x

    1. I don't always wear makeup to school as I usually wake up late haha! That mascara is not my favourite as it does clump a bit but I still war it from time to time :)
